Dr. Greg Boivin

Director of the Division of Comparative Pathology, University of Cincinnati

Greg Boivin is from the great state of Washington. He stayed home for his B.S. degree in zoology at the University of Washington, then traveled to the east side of the state to complete his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Washington State University. In his continuing travels east he next stopped at the University of Missouri to do his post-doctoral studies in laboratory animal medicine. He then made one more move east to his current position at the University of Cincinnati where he has been for 12 years. Dr. Boivin is the Director of the Division of Comparative Pathology at the University of Cincinnati, and supports numerous investigations using mouse models of human disease. He has the self-proclaimed title of "Mouse Pathologist". His own work examines the effects of age on tendon repair and mouse models of lung cancer. Outside of work he enjoys all forms of outdoor activities ranging from white water rafting the Grand Canyon to backpacking the scenic riverways of the Buffalo River in Arkansas.
