Ms. Fran Poodry

Physics Teacher, West Chester High School

Fran Poodry is originally from Buffalo, NY, but has spent the last 16 years in and around Philadelphia, PA. Four of those years were spent as an undergraduate at Swarthmore College, where she majored in Physics and earned a teaching certificate. While teaching in Philadelphia she earned her M.S.Ed. in Science Education at Temple University. Fran now teaches first- and second-year high school physics in West Chester, PA and for three years has been an adjunct professor of physics at Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia. She is particularly interested in physics education research and in using projects to teach physics principles.
