Dr. David Withoff

Dave Withoff grew up in Minnesota and was a delegate to the National Youth Science Camp from Minnesota in 1975. After completing his undergraduate degree at the Illinois Institute of Technology, Dave went on to get a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Illinois, doing work on the Kondo model, a model of magnetic impurities in metals. Since then, Dave has been involved n a variety of aspects of development, documentation, support and training for mathematical software. In addition to his professional interests, Dave also enjoys swimming, bicycling, running, rock climbing, canoeing, camping, wood working, glass blowing, pottery, playing guitar, and making balloon animals. Dave currently lives and works in Fairbanks, Alaska.
