The delegates participated in an open panel discussion at the National Academy of Sciences with members of the President's Office of Science and Technology Policy, NASA, the American Physical Society, as well as commercial science advisors. Each panelist made a short statement regarding their own area of expertise, followed by questions from the delegates. Following this, more open-ended questions were offered by the delegates to the panel as a whole.
