DS 1: "Flowers, Feathers, Scales and Tails"

You don't have to be a biology major to be able to identify plants & animals. All you need is curiosity about nature and some basic tips on using field guides. During this directed study, delegates will learn where to find secretive salamanders, how to handle snakes, who made those tracks, what made that sound and which plants are used for food & medicine. Delegates will also discover how they can become a "citizen scientist" and assist with biodiversity monitoring efforts.
